My home office has been a work in progress for over a year and I’m happy to say that’s it’s finally done!!!
Because I work from home most of the time, I wanted to create a space that was bright and fun and had decorative pieces that I loved and also meant something to me. Since our entire house has rich dark colors and is decorated in an Old-World theme, I chose whites, golds and mixed woods for the color scheme. Since I do a lot of lifestyle shots, I wanted an office that had different areas for shooting, but also practical at the same time.
We started with a bed, which was is great for shooting content, but can also double as a second guest room. I couldn’t wait to style it with a ton of different throw pillows that ranged from gold sequin to white faux fur. I also have some macramé pillows that tie in my custom pieces from Knot and Fibre!
I had two custom sister pieces made that are so beautiful and actually have gold woven into each of them to go with the color scheme. I love them because it gives the modern look of the room a boho causal feel. Remember not everything has to be so “matchy matchy.”

HomeGoods was my friend when finding affordable items to decorate my office with! I found a desk that was under $150, two gold end tables that were under a $100 total and an amazing full-length gold mirror that was under $80! HomeGoods has great little knick-knacks and books too that I used to decorate my garment rack from Wayfair.
I love this garment rack because it looks nice and not something you’d find in an industrial warehouse. I also love how it how an area that looks almost like a bookcase so you can display your favorite bags and shoes.
My office has one big wall and my vision from the start was to always have a small couch and various pictures on the wall that meant something to me. When my mom passed away, my sister and I found a vintage Vogue poster book and immediately I knew I wanted to frame some of them for my office wall. With the help of some frames from Michaels, custom Wallpics of my favorite Instagram pics, calligraphy from Spillyco and some magazine articles about me and Violet, my office wall was complete!
Lastly, I wanted to find a loveseat that matched the desk chair that I purchased on a whim from a man who was moving out of his office building. Luckily Wayfair came through again and I found an almost identical loveseat for under $500! Adding some small throw pillows in gold, my vision was complete. My loveseat is sold out, but click HERE to shop a similar one!
