Spring is upon us and that means Easter, Mother’s Day, Weddings and more! My sister April, is going to a wedding in less than a month and is searching high and low for that perfect spring dress to wear to a wedding only to find ones that are too casual, inappropriate or way too expensive!
Well, this blog post is for you April! Here are two floral dresses from Romwe that won’t put you into debt and are perfect for any spring occasion.
Flirty for Spring
The first of my two picks is super cute and for the girl who wants to show a little leg without showing anything else! I always think black is a no-brainer for any occasion because in some ways it’s a safe choice, but also a classic choice. The off the shoulder cut and floral embroidery gives the dress a little extra than just the average LBD. If you want to look cute and sexy at the same time, then this is the dress for you ladies! It is form fitting, I would go up a size if you want to be comfortable, but not inappropriate. You could definitely wear this dress to a wedding or any spring occasion in the evening. The best part ladies is it was under $19. Click HERE to shop similar dresses!
My second pick from Romwe is sophisticated for any spring occasion. The strapless cut is so pretty and the black and white floral print is perfect for a spring day or night event. I love the hem that cuts mid-leg making the dress perfect for a black-tie affair. You can’t go wrong with black and white and the dress can be styled so many ways. Throw a denim jacket over it and some strappy sandals for a more casual look or pair it with a black blazer and heels for a dressier, more conservative look. Either way, this dress is perfect for any spring occasion! Click HERE to shop all floral dresses!
Fashion Don’ts for Weddings
Don’t wear white: I shouldn’t even have to put this on here because I assume that women know that this is the biggest “no, no” when it comes to a wedding, but every wedding I’ve ever attended I see a woman wearing it who is not the bride.
Casual Dress Code: I get it. It says, “casual” under the dress code. Ladies that doesn’t mean you can wear jeans or yoga pants. It’s a wedding, not a Tuesday running errands. Pair a casual floral skirt with a nice tee and sandals or a sundress but keep the yoga pants at home!
Sexy, Not Sluty: Yes, sometimes there is a fine line here, And I know that women want to look good, but at the same time you NEVER want to take away from the bride. So letting everything hang out is an absolute DONT. I have always said that you don’t have to show all the goods to look sexy. Instead of a dress that is super low cut, choose a dress that is form fitting and shows off your curves, but nothing else. I think showing some leg is okay so maybe go for a dress with a slit, just make sure the slit doesn’t go all the way up and show something else.
